How to Make Clams Casino. This recipe for Clams Casino couldn’t be simpler to make. First, I rendered some bacon in a pan then removed before it became totally crispy. While the bacon is cooking, wash the clams and arrange on a baking sheet. Roast the clams in the oven until they all open discarding any unopened clams. Preheat oven to 450°. Spread salt into an oven-safe metal serving platter or a 15x10x1-in. Shuck clams, reserving bottom shells; drain liquid (save for another use). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, stir together the clams, cream cheese, bacon and ranch seasoning. Place the phyllo cups on a baking sheet and fill with enough of the filling to come to the top. Cook the clams within 2 days of buying them. It’s best to cook your clams as soon as possible. If that’s not an option, however, you can keep them for up to 2 days in a refrigerator. Throw out any clams that have been in your refrigerator for more than 2 days to avoid foodborne illnesses. To open clams, place in large baking pan (s) 1 to 2' deep. Place in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes, or until opened slightly, remove fron oven and let cool enough to handle. Open clams, reserving the liquid for later use,and chop meat medium fine. Separate and save clam shells. In a large bowl, combine the clams and bacon/vegetable mix.
