Posted By admin On 30/03/22Singapore may just be a newcomer in world gaming tourism, but is now making a name as a topnotch destination for jet-setting casino players. This Asian city-state prides itself of the Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa, which are two mega-entertainment complexes that combine casinos with water resorts, oceanariums, shopping malls, and a Universal Studios theme park! And obviously Vegas is the epitome of casino tourism, named by Forbes as the oasis of gambling with 75 casinos, including the Venetian, MGM Grand Las Vegas, and Bellagio (among others). Since the legalization of gaming in 2005, Singapore is now home to two of the world’s biggest casino resorts, Marina Bays Sands and Resorts World Sentosa. The Casino is located just 20 minutes east of Kingston and 10 minutes from the U.S. There are 480 slot machines, ranging from 1¢ to $5, with favourites such as Wheel Of Fortune, Monopoly and John Wayne Progressive.

Not only are these visitors great for generating local tax revenue, but they will also bring more sales revenue to surrounding restaurants, hotels and locally-owned small businesses. While many of our visitors will stay at the resort, there will be plenty who want to see what else Norfolk has to offer and will choose to book rooms at other hotels and explore other dining and entertainment options. Making Norfolk the premier destination in all of Hampton Roads will be a boon for the local economy and help elevate the City’s tourism reputation to its proper location at the top of the list!
